Only 2 more classes

I am so glad to be almost done. Senioritis? Absofuckinglutely. I want to spend my time on what really counts, work and family. These classes, I'm sure they serve a purpose, just don't do anything for me at this point. A fourth speech class? Are you kidding me? A portfolio class? Come on, I'm already out there...doing it...But whatever.

Now I have to make a digital portfolio. No clue how. Would have been useful if we had spent time in class learning how to do this. Not all of us are web artists, not all of us want to be. So as a PROFESSIONAL PRINT DESIGNER, with a minor in Marketing, I haven't taken programming classes. I don't use Flash on a regular basis. This class would have been better served had we been instructed in the HOW to accomplish this digitally, if it is so important. We spent time doing busy work. Thanks.

Bad logo?

I know everything is left to the eye of the beholder. And while I'm having a difficult time thinking of a logo I find appalling, so I'm using an iffy logo. (Why is that? When you need info the brain denies you retrieval, yet I'll pass something on the way home that will make me shriek...OMG! Who approved that???)
Anyway, Toyota's logo confuses me. What is it?

branding

Branding is important for any company that wants to be easily recognized. The same brand can be used to generate awareness of the corporation and their products, ie Coca-Cola,

while some corporations have a corporate brand,

and specific product brands (Doritos, Lays potato chips, etc.)

.

One of the brands I like is the Chevy American Revolution

The Revolution logo is simple, yet easily identifiable. The font is simple and single color, so the logo is easily usable in different campaigns, it is easy to read, and it conveys a sense of strength. I really like the red backward E. This anomaly stands out, without being obnoxious-in-your-face.
